Preparing for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

This is a parish-based programme which recognises the central role of parents in the development of their children's faith. It explores the many gifts given to us by way of a journey to Reconciliation and the Eucharist. The preparation programme is only for those children who will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion within our Catholic Parish and attending Mass regularly at Holy Cross Church. Each child is prepared so that they may have sufficient knowledge in their own capacity to understand the mystery of Christ in reconciliation and Holy Communion.

If your child fulfils the criteria, please complete the enrolment via the link below by 9th November 2025. There will be an enrolment meeting on Friday 21st November 2025 in the church hall.  Parents are welcome between the times of 4.45pm-5.45pm.  If your child was baptised outside of Holy Cross or St. Luke's, please bring their baptismal certificate.  A £15 cash donation for resources also needs to be brought with you, as well as any homework the children have recently completed.  The link for the registration form is below.
